Welcome Lee Gagen to the Foundation

Join us in welcoming Lee Gagen back to the Foundation as our Major Gifts & Planned Giving Officer.

Lee is responsible for developing relationships with donors and helping increase their awareness of current needs in our community. She makes introductions that help people align their giving with community needs. Lee raises funds for the Foundation, which enables it to make MetroWest a better place for all our neighbors.

Lee brings a wide variety of fundraising and development experience to the Foundation. In 2016 and 2017, she supported fundraising work as the Development Associate with the Foundation. In the past five years, Lee has held a variety of fundraising roles at various nonprofits, including grant writer, director of donor relations, and most recently as a major gifts officer.

“To use my skills to improve life in my own community—what is better than that? I am so thankful for this opportunity and to be a part of this dynamic and hardworking team”, said Lee. She is thrilled to be returning to the Foundation because she is passionate about working with donors and making connections to positively impact the MetroWest community.

“We are so pleased to welcome Lee back to the Foundation in this new role. Her combination of fundraising experience along with her knowledge of the MetroWest region and familiarity with the Foundation will be instrumental as we continue to expand our work throughout the MetroWest,” said Jay Kim, Executive Director of the Foundation for MetroWest.

Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Hamilton College and a Master of Education from Northeastern University.  Prior to starting her fundraising career, Lee spent several years working in Edinburgh, Scotland as teacher and coach. A MetroWest native, Lee grew up in Weston and now resides in Framingham with her husband and two children.
