In Memory of Robert Brack

Dear Friends,

Today we want to pay tribute to the life of our treasured friend Bob Brack who passed away on Wednesday, September 8th.

I first met Bob when he joined the Board of Trustees of the Foundation in 2004. Bob came to the work of the Foundation with a long and distinguished history of service to the MetroWest community. He embraced the work of the Foundation with great passion, worked tirelessly in service of our community, cared deeply about everyone, and was devoted to our common good.

Part of the mission of the Foundation for MetroWest is Philanthropy Education, and Bob gave us a Master Class on Philanthropy every day. Bob was a mentor to me, our staff and his fellow trustees. His spirit of philanthropy was only dwarfed by his kindness. Bob was frequently in our office, and always made time to acknowledge everyone with a greeting, a story about family, making all connections personal. He cared deeply for his family and colleagues, but he had a special place in his heart for those in need.

During his tenure as a Trustee, Board Chair and then Trustee Emeritus, I had the privilege of working closely with Bob. He is one of the finest human beings I have ever known. He is a man who has impacted countless lives throughout our community. Bob was devoted to the MetroWest and has left a legacy that will have an impact on our region for generations to come. We will cherish his lessons and let them guide us as we continue our work.

We already miss him dearly and are keeping his family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Judy Salerno

Executive Director Emeritus
