Needham residents named ‘Campaign Champions’

Elliot and Sofia Herman, of Needham, have been named “Campaign Champions” by the Foundation for MetroWest, a community foundation serving the MetroWest region of Greater Boston.

Elliot, a partner at a wealth management firm, and his daughter, Sofia, are two of 47 MetroWest residents who have been tasked with engaging their neighbors and fellow community members to “strengthen the foundation’s role as a connector, partner and resource” for the 33 cities and towns that make up the region. Both Hermans are supporters of the foundation’s mission: Elliot is part of the foundation’s Professional Advisor Leadership Council, while Sofia is co-chair of the foundation’s Youth in Philanthropy Junior Board.

“Participating in the foundation’s ONEmetrowest Campaign gives my daughter and I the unique opportunity to work together to make a meaningful, tangible difference in people’s lives,” said Elliot. “The foundation’s people, and the resources they bring to bear, support countless causes throughout our community. I’m committed to continuing to spread the word about this organization and its critical role in our region.”

“My experience with the foundation’s Youth in Philanthropy program opened my eyes to the positive change philanthropy can create,” said Sofia. “The more people that get involved with the foundation and support its work, the more our community will benefit from all the good the group is doing.”
