Congratulations to Our 2022 Human Services and Arts & Culture Grant Partners!

Foundation For Metrowest

The needs in our MetroWest community continue to be significant, we saw a record number of grant applications this fall for our Human Services and Arts & Culture grants. We are thrilled to announce that the Foundation for MetroWest has awarded a total of $642,500 in general operating grants to 49 Human Services and Arts & Culture nonprofit partners.

We are proud to support these organizations in their efforts throughout the MetroWest region. All the funds awarded through our grant programs help create strong, vibrant communities, now and in the future—and are vital to the organizations. FFMW is your community foundation serving 30+ cities and towns of MetroWest. (See complete list of 2022 Human Services and Arts & Culture grant recipients below.)

Human Services Grant Highlights

This year, we received 83 applications, a 26% increase from 2021. Unfortunately we were not able to meet all the needs, but were able to support 31 organizations with a total of $517,500. The greatest community needs identified this year through the grant program were Mental Health, Community Safety (domestic violence, immigrant services, older adult services, etc.), and Housing.

Arts & Culture Grant Highlights

Of the 42 applications for Arts & Culture grants, (a 45% increase from last year), we awarded grants to 18 organizations. Support from FFMW totaled $125,000 to organizations focused on arts education, performance, exhibit and gallery programming, historical preservation, and cultural community building.

We are grateful for our Distribution Committee, comprised of community members who reviewed and carefully considered 125 grant applications from nonprofits serving MetroWest. We appreciate their dedication to our community.
