Feed Framingham COVID-19 Fund

When faced with a crisis, we must join together and act as a community-with purpose, compassion, and focus-to assist the most vulnerable populations in our region. We are stronger together.

This fund was created to provide responsive, critical financial support to nonprofit organizations who are helping to ensure access to food and basic hygiene necessities to vulnerable populations across the city.

This rolling grant program is aimed at funding nonprofit organizations who are working to address access to food and basic hygiene products for Framingham residents as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I give?

You may give online; send a check to Foundation for MetroWest (note that it is for the Feed Framingham Fund), 3 Eliot Street, Natick, MA 01760; or make a gift of securities and other assets by contacting Mary Crowley.

Can I make a grant from an existing donor-advised fund into the Feed Framingham COVID-19 Fund?

Yes. Anyone can make a grant from a donor-advised fund to the Feed Framingham COVID-19 Fund.  If you have a donor-advised fund at the Foundation, you can log into Donor Central to make a fund transfer, or contact Mary Crowley if you have questions. If you have a donor-advised fund at another institution, you can recommend a grant from that fund to the Foundation for MetroWest and note if your gift is for the “Feed Framingham Fund” in the purpose language.

How much of my donation will go directly to organizations working to support vulnerable populations in Framingham?

One hundred percent.

My nonprofit organization is interested in resources from this fund. How can we be considered?

We understand organizations are in crisis and the people you serve are hurting, so we will be distributing funds to the community as quickly as possible. Please see our Grant Guidelines for more information on how to apply for a grant from the Feed Framingham COVID-19 Fund.

Are there other resources available for my nonprofit?

Yes. Please see our Resources Page for more information.

Can individuals apply for assistance from this fund?

Unfortunately, we are not able to make direct grants to individuals. We understand that the COVID-19 pandemic is having a significant impact on individuals and families. These emergency funds will support nonprofit organizations that are directly supporting families and residents.

When will you share who you fund?

We anticipate making a first round of grants as soon as possible, and will share a list of grantees on the Foundation’s website and on social media.
