Join us to hear from Foundation for MetroWest Executive Director Jay Kim about the critical needs in our 30+ MetroWest communities, learn about our new initiatives designed to tackle some of our region’s most pressing issues, and honor the evolution and remarkable achievements of the Foundation under Judy Salerno’s leadership.
Thank you to Carol and Jack O’Neil for their support in co-chairing the 2022 Spring Inspiration Breakfast.
Our 2022 Honorees
Judy Salerno - Community Philanthropist Honoree
Judy Salerno, Executive Director Emeritus of the Foundation for MetroWest, served as the Executive Director for 16 years. She was previously a Trustee, and served on the Distribution Committee.
Under Judy’s leadership, the Foundation raised millions of dollars to support the MetroWest community, transformed its endowment into a stable, permanent resource for our most vulnerable neighbors, and invested over $24 million in our MetroWest nonprofits. In March 2020, the Foundation was positioned to respond quickly to the pandemic thanks to her visionary leadership and granted over $5 million to those in need.
We honor Judy’s vision, wisdom, and contributions to the MetroWest community.
Jared Ross - Young Philanthropist of the Year
Jared Ross participated in the Foundation’s Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) program in 2018. Having participated in many other service projects at Wayland Middle School, Jared was excited to dive deeper into the needs of his local community.
Upon graduating from the program Jared joined the Foundation’s Youth in Philanthropy Junior Board and has served on the board for three consecutive years, leading a variety of fundraising and marketing efforts, raising thousands of dollars to support YIP and the ONEmetrowest Fund.
Jared is a strong advocate for the Foundation’s work in the community, and we are proud to honor him as our 2022 Young Philanthropist Honoree.
